Keira Bumbacco has been selected as the 2024 recipient of the society's annual bursary/scholarship.
Keira has been accepted for early admission to the University of Western Ontario where, this fall, she will be studying Psychology, with the goal of becoming a Psychologist.

With the generosity of golfers and sponsors, we were able to raise
$3,000 in support of the Sault Area Hospital Foundation and further sponsored $1,000 towards SAHF Gala, which took place November 4th.

The Honourable Justice I.A. Vannini Award of Merit
Born in 1915, I.A. Vannini was a prominent lawyer for more than 20 years in Sault Ste. Marie. In 1966, the Honourable Justice I.A. Vannini became the first lawyer of Italian heritage to be appointed a judge in Ontario. He served Sault Ste. Marie at various court levels 1966-1991. Justice Vannini died in 1998.The award is given annually in honour of the late Honourable Justice Ilvio Anthony Vannini and recognizes an individual or group of Italian descent from the Sault Ste. Marie or area who have achieved distinction in the cultural, academic, athletic or volunteer field for having made an outstanding contribution at the local, national or international level.
The G.Marconi Society Club Academic Scholarships are given yearly to secondary school graduates whose parents are members.
